Dundee United managaer Craig Levein has a minor selection headache ahead of the crucial SPL tie against Rangers at Tannadice next weekend.
With Spl rivals Hibernian expected to win all 3 points against Saint Mirren, Dundee United need at least a draw with Walter Smith side to remain in 3rd top spot.
Defender Garry Kenneth is definitely out, after a late red card for a 2nd bookable offence in last weekend`s 1-0 defeat at Tynecastle.
Meanwhile, Midfielder Danny Swanson is also suspended for United`s next 2 games after a straight red for a late lunge on Eggert Jonsson in the same match.
“I think Danny Swanson’s challenge is exactly the same as the one on Garry Kenneth in the first half,” commented Levein about Swanson’s sending off.
“It disappoints me that there wasn’t even a booking in the first half and Danny gets a red card. I think it was very harsh indeed.”
Darren Dobs is the likely candidate to replace Kenneth, but is unlikely to be match fit after failing to find a place on the bench in recent weeks, following his shock omission from the starting line-up in the Cup Final defeat to Rangers.
Long-term injured Keith Watson and Steven Robb are also unavailable.
