Dundee United boss Csaba Laszlo says they will need to up their performances having now qualified for the play-offs.
The Tangerines found their recent three-game winning run comprehensively halted by a 3-0 defeat at Queen of the South on Saturday.
However, it’s since confirmed that they will face either Dunfermline Athletic or Inverness Caledonian Thistle in their play-off quarter-final.
Livingston then await the winners of that tie – and they ironically also provide United’s final day opponents in the regular season this weekend.
“We are in the play-offs but we need a better performance,” Laszlo conceded to BBC Scotland. “We could’ve played on and still not score.
“We came with confidence after our recent games but the players were tired today after a tough run of games.”
United will definitely hold onto third in the table should they beat second-placed Livingston at Tannadice.
Before that Livi host Inverness tomorrow evening [Tuesday].
