No Complaints About Late Hibs Comeback

Dundee United manager Craig Levein doesn`t have many complaints about the 2-2 draw at Easter Road on Saturday.

Despite leading 2-0 with only 16minutes remaining, United allowed Abdessalam Benjelloun to score a simple 77th minute equaliser and then gifted Hibs a point from the penalty spot.

What makes it worse, is that Dundee United also saw red for the 9th time this season, as Sean Dillon was sent packing for his challenge on David Murphy which lead to the Hibs penalty.

Although, Craig Levein had no complaints about the decision by referee William Collum to give Mickael Antoine-Curier the opportunity to level from a spot kick.

“My only complaint is that we had a similar incident against Kilmarnock a few weeks back, when Prince Buaben was brought down by Ryan O’Leary,” Levein told Setanta Sports.

“He didn`t even get a yellow, nothing, so all I`m looking for is a little bit of consistency.”

For most of the match at Easter Road, it was the home side who dominated, with United really missing the influence of suspended Barry Robson in the midfield.

However, 2 almost identical headed goals from David Robertson in 8minutes looked to have sealed a shock win for United, until a late comeback from Hibs ended in a fairer share of the points.

“Hibs were the better side in the 1st half, I cant argue with that,” admitted Levein.

“In the 2nd half we put in 2 great crosses for the goals. I was about to take him (David Robertson) off, because he was starting to flag a wee bit and he`s just had a double hernia operation.”

“He got into a good position just inside the full back, but I think Hibs will be disappointed with the defending.”

“I must comment on the quality of the crosses – The 2nd from Willo Flood and the previous one from Sean Dillon, with some excellent finishes from David Robertson.”

The biggest shock of the afternoon was seeing defender Lee Wilkie play upfront for Dundee United, after Jon Daly got injured during the early stages of the 1st half.

“Lee Wilkie amazes me, he`s a massive guy. I put him upfront against Inverness earlier in the season and we ended up winning 3-0.”
