Dundee United didn`t just lose out on all 3 points at Easter Road on Saturday, because Craig Levein has also lost Jon Daly for another couple of months.
Levein is already without long-term injured pair Craig Conway and goalkeeper Lukasz Zaluska, who are both out with broken foot bones, but now the United manager will have to do without Jon Daly until 2008.
Daly has only played 2 matches for United this season, after suffering a cruciate ligament injury towards the end of last season.
However, the 24-year-old Irish born striker limped out of the match against Hibs at Easter Road, following a 50-50 challenge with defender Chris Hogg.
“Jon is out for 6 to 8 weeks, which is a mazssive blow to him and us,” admitted Craig Levein to Setanta Sports.
Surprisingly, it was 6 foot 4 defender Lee Wilkie who replaced Daly upfront, as Dundee United took a 2-0 lead with only 16 minutes of the match remaining.
Although, Hibernian snatched a point after goals from Abdessalam Benjelloun and a penalty from Mickael Antoine-Curier earned them a 2-2 draw.
