After his arrival at the beginning of November, Dundee United manager Craig Levein promised radical changes to his 1st team squad during the January transfer window.

Chairman Eddie Thompson promised to make funds available to bring in several new players, with 3 new signings joining during the window and Darren Dods agreeing to become a United player in June.

Several of the current squad are out of contract in the summer, with some being told by Levein they will not be offered a new deal and they have no future at Tannadice – including the clubs longest serving player David McCracken, Alan Archibald and David Proctor.

However, Levein is still threatening to send more players packing, as he plans to continue his restructuring of the 1st team at the end of the season.

Ok, so maybe the Paul Hartley and Steven Pressley links were wishful thinking, but they are both great players.
