Dundee United slipped a place to fourth in the table with a 1-1 draw against promotion rivals Dunfermline Athletic at Tannadice.
Following a scoreless opening half, the much-changed hosts once again fell behind when Nicky Clark added to his midweek hat-trick early in the second period.
But Scott McDonald soon equalised after James Craigen attempted to clear his lines and the ball instead rebounded into the net.
The recalled Jamie Robson had seen an early attempt pushed away by Lee Robinson; although it was the visitors going even closer as Declan McManus struck an upright from the edge of the area.
Happily restored from the start, Scott Fraser’s challenging free-kick was then helped over by Robinson ahead of the interval.
But it was Clark suddenly claiming his seventeenth goal of the campaign from Ryan Williamson’s early second-half cross
However, McDonald quickly levelled when blocking from Craigen, while both Sam Stanton and substitute Mark Durnan later went close to another.
