Dundee United begin a busy programme of forthcoming fixtures as they visit Brechin City this afternoon.

The Tangerines are facing a challenging schedule of thirteen games over the next seven weeks following recent postponements.

“The next few months will be very busy but we have a squad of players so we will just have to cope with it,” striker Thomas Mikkelsen told the Dundee Courier. “It will mean we don`t do much training but as players you just want to be playing games anyway so it’s no problem.

“It will be tough mentally and physically but we can handle it,” he added. “We will get used to it so if we end up in the play-offs then it might be a plus for us because we will be used to it.”

Brechin are missing skipper Paul McLean, Andy Jackson and long-term injury victim Ryan McGeever.

Similarly unavailable are suspended defensive duo Willie Dyer and Aron Lynas, although on loan Kostadin Gadzhalov was expected to feature despite sustaining a facial injury against St Mirren.
