Dundee United continue to kick-on towards the top of the table following a crushing 5-0 victory against already-relegated Brechin City at Glebe Park.
All five goals arrived after the break, with substitute Scott McDonald tapping in their first six minutes into the second period and Billy King soon adding another.
The Tangerines then struck three times in ten late second-half minutes, courtesy of McDonald’s second, fellow replacement Scott Fraser and recent defensive recruit Bilel Mohsni.
Dylan Mackin sent an early effort wide for the hosts, although their goalkeeper Graeme Smith was soon denying Paul McMullan. His opposite number Deniz Mehmet turned over from Mackin and Paul McLaren was next too high.
Thomas Mikkelsen replied straight at the home keeper and Sam Stanton proved wide after Issac Layne had failed to seriously challenge Mehmet. Mikkelsen and Layne traded further efforts ahead of the interval.
Nevertheless with McDonald starting the second-half in place of Grant Gillespie, the visitors witnessed Mackin only being denied by an upright before King had a reply cleared off the line.
But McMullan promptly set up McDonald for the opening goal before the latter allowed King to quickly add a second through a firm drive from distance.
Home keeper Smith was brought into further action by both Willo Flood and Stanton while King was in turn too high for the visitors.
However, Anthony Ralston later crossed for McDonald to volley his second goal of the evening with just over ten minutes remaining.
Fellow substitute Fraser then added another from a 25-yard free-kick before delivering for Mohsni to complete the destruction by heading in a fifth.
