Dundee United visit Ibrox and take on Rangers in the Scottish Cup fifth round on Sunday afternoon (12.15pm).

Midfielder Danny Swanson has been ruled out and rejoins long-term absentee Scott Severin on the sidelines. But latest signing Milos Lacny could be handed a debut in attack for the visitors.

“They [Rangers] have a good group there with big characters and they will be using that to bring them together,” United chief Peter Houston told BBC Scotland. “They are a good side, they beat Hibs recently by scoring a few goals.

“They have a few injuries at the moment, but still have a squad packed with quality,” he continued. “It will be a good game, both teams create chances and it’s going to be very competitive.”

Rangers are without a whole host of players with Kyle Lafferty, Steven Naismith, Kane Hemmings, Jamie Ness, Steven Whittaker and Kirk Broadfoot all restricted to watching from the stands.
