New signing Milos Lacny is ready to prove Celtic wrong after failing to earn himself a deal there last summer.
The 23-year-old Slovakian only missed out on a move to Glasgow after Celtic boss Neil Lennon opted against signing him following a trial.
But now his commitment lies fully with the Tangerines after arriving on a twelve-month loan from Czech club Sparta Prague earlier this week.
“When I was on trial with Celtic I was 100 per cent certain I would be offered a contract,” Lacny admitted to the Daily Record. “It was enjoyable and I did well but at the end of the day things did not happen.
“I know they have good strikers at Celtic but I would have felt confident competing with them. But it didn’t happen so I moved on and am glad to be with United,” he added. “Now I want to use my time here to show Celtic they missed out by not signing me.”
