Dundee United defender Gary Kenneth misses out for the opening leg of the Europa League qualifier against Slask Wroclaw in Poland (kick-off 15.45 BST).

Kenneth is currently struggling with a knee injury while midfielders Scott Robertson (ankle) and Danny Swanson (back) are similarly unavailable. However, latest signing Gary Mackay-Steven is included in the squad.

“We have done our homework, we have done our shaping up with regards how we will play against them,” United manager Peter Houston told BBC Scotland. “It will be very difficult as they are a good side. They are strong, physical and can pass the ball as well.

“What I want to make sure is that we are still in the tie for the second leg,” he added. “So we have to be tight, compact but we still have to play as well. There is a balance between making sure we defend properly and being brave enough to try and score goals.”
