Dundee United boss Peter Houston has warned of latest opponents Slask Wroclaw’s ability from set-piece situations.

The Tangerines take on the Polish side in the away leg of their Europa League tie on Thursday and Houston has stressed the importance of avoiding conceding unnecessary free-kick around the area.

“They enjoy free-kicks, for both shooting and crossing dangerous balls into the box,” he told the Dundee Courier. “So we will be doing more work on defending them because they play a lot to win set-pieces and they have a lot of height in their side. We have to be wary of that.

“They have a lot of big lads and if you look at the size of our squad we are nowhere like we were two years ago when we had a lot of tall guys,” Houston added. “Set-plays are always a worry when you do not have great height, so we will have to guard against giving away silly free-kicks around the box.”
