Dundee United boss Peter Houston has grown tired of the recent speculation linking several of his leading players with moves away from the club.

The likes of Morgaro Gomis, Garry Kenneth, Craig Conway and David Goodwillie have all found their names given plenty of column inches while suggesting their imminent departures from Tannadice over the past number of weeks.

But Houston has confirmed that these pieces have been little more than idle gossip with no genuine foundations to any of the stories. He has also asked for the so called interested parties to finally put their money where their mouths are or alternatively simply go away.

“It seems to me that every player has been linked with a move yet we have had no bids from anyone,” Houston told the Daily Record.

“If any team wants to make an offer then I say go ahead and do it and then we can consider whether it’s right or not.

“I am getting a fed up with it and it’s time to put up or shut up.”
