Representatives of Cardiff City will be attending today`s match between Dundee United & Hearts, to get a closer look at United captain Barry Robson.
The 28-year-old has recently been linked with a move to SPL rivals Celtic, but Dundee United manager Craig Levein has insisted that Robson`s going nowhere unless they meet the club`s valuation of the talented midfielder.
“We’ve not had an offer for Barry and I hope we don’t get one. He’s someone we don’t want to sell and it’s as simple as that,” Levein told Setanta earlier in the week,
“Barry is worth a lot of money to us in order to keep our top six place and hopefully get to at least one cup final. He’s under contract for another three years and I have had no indication he wants to leave.”
“Players are only worth what folk are willing to pay for them, but when you look around at what other people are going for and compare them to someone of Barry’s ability then I’d say he’s worth £1.5 million or even £2 million.”
However, Cardiff manager Dave Jones will still be at Tannadice this afternoon, to watch Robson and Hearts player Andrew Driver.
Several other English clubs are reported to be interested in the United captain.

In fact, we believe Jones & Ridsdale to be there discussing a deal for the polish keeper, wont attempt to spell it ! Robson is certainly out of our price range.
I want to change the subject a little to the unbelievable abissmal decision of the SPL to not only refuse you the decency of a postponement of todays game, but to then try to justify it by saying only teams “directly involved” should receive postponements. I am a Celtic fan and frankly, see no reason that any game should have been played in Scotland as a mark of respect for Phil. But for the idiotic Blair to say Dundee Utd had no “direct involvement” shows total arrogance and complete und utter stupidity. I really have little time for Lee Wilkie, but he nailed it with his comments on their disgraceful decision. How involved was he? Give me strength! The guy tried to save a fellow pro’s life on Saturday and will live with that picture forever! As always, the SPL bungled and probably all because of money, with a big part of stupidity thrown in. I know it means nothing to you, but my total sympathy goes out to you all. Players and fans alike, especially those who were at the game and witnessed the tragedy.

I did read Wilkie’s comments and have total sympathy for his position. It really made me furious when I read the excuses from the SPL. They treated Dundee Utd like idiots for the sake of a few quid and I wouldn’t let anyone fool you otherwise. This was all about money. In the process they managed to show massive disrespect for Phil O’Donnell. The biggest issue now of course is how the SPL will lie in wait to find a way to punish the ones who spoke up against them. Great result today by the way.
I’d rather he went there than the Old Firm. This has a double effect, it makes us weaker and them stronger. Its a no win situation but atleast if he goes to Cardiff we wont have the same problems.
