Dundee United manager Craig Levein has ruled out the possibility of a move for Kilmarnock midfielder Momo Sylla.
There had been some speculation over the past few days, that Dundee United were considering the 30-year-old Guinean, after Sylla was released from his contract at Rugby Park.
However, the former Leicester City, Celtic, St Johnstone and Ayr United midfielder isn`t much of a goalscorer, not finding the net once in 20 matches for Leicester and Kilmarnock last season.
It’s a goal scorer that Dundee United need at the moment – with Belgian international striker Cedric Roussel currently on trial, with a view to joining Tannadice on loan from Italian side Brescia, until the end of the season.
“He won’t be coming here ? it’s an out-and-out striker I need and Momo isn`t that,” admitted Levein to the Evening Telegraph yesterday.
