Should Lee Wilkie start for Arabs?

With Dundee United at the bottom of the table and concerns about the defence, is it time to bring Lee Wilkie into the side?

Boss Craig Brewster has been looking at his defensive options at a reserve match against Hearts this afternoon (Tues, Oct 17) and new-signing Lee Wilkie was one of the players who featured.

The former Dundee defender, who has been capped nine times for Scotland and scored once, is attempting to make his third comeback from a cruciate ligament injury and Brewster seems to be giving him a number of reserve games to prove his fitness.

He was signed after impressing on trial and it seems the 26-year-old is destined to win a place in the first-team.

However, with the Arabs bottom of the SPL, and with no wins in their past five games, is now the time for Brewster to promote Wilkie to the first-team to see if his presence can make a difference?

Our new poll asks that question – ‘Should Wilkie be in the first team against Aberdeen on Saturday (Oct 21)?’
