Dundee United have made a crucial signing this week, by securing the services of Willo Flood on loan for another year.
The 23-year-old midfielder was one of the stars of the United squad last season, but returned back to Cardiff City after his loan deal expired in May.
However, manager Craig Levein has managed to persuaded the English Championship club to loan Flood back to United for the duration of the 2008/09 campaign.
Although, the fans favourite had already made it clear he was keen to remain at Tannadice, claiming he would be “gutted” if he didn`t get the opportunity to return to the club.
“We are delighted that Willo has agreed to join us for another year. He made it clear that he wanted to stay here so we have worked hard to make it happen,” admitted Craig Levein to the Dundee Courier.
“We had high hopes for him when he came up from Cardiff a year ago and after doing so well he went on to become a firm favourite with the fans.”
“I think he will be a big player for us over the coming season and I would like to thank Cardiff for allowing it.”
