Dundee United captain Barry Robson has said the club need to be more consistent if they are to build upon great results such as the 2-1 win over Rangers at the weekend.
The 28-year-old former Caley Thistle man has enjoyed some high moments since moving to Tannadice in 2003, but admits there have been far too many lows as well.
The Arabs host Kilmarnock tomorrow and new boss Craig Levein must hope his second match in charge will be as successful as his first. Dundee United could climb to 10th and start to put the disappointment of much of Craig Brewster’s reign behind them.
Ahead of the game, Robson told the Dundee Evening Telegraph: ‘I was here the season we finished in the top half of the league and I’ve played in Europe and in a cup final and semis, but we have not had enough success here in my time because we have not been consistent enough.
‘As a club, we should be striving for sixth place as a minimum, but you can only do that through consistency and that is something we’ve lacked.
‘We are not under any illusions – it (the win over Rangers) was a good result and we enjoyed our night, but we have to make it something we build on and we can only do that by working hard together as a team and get more wins.’
