Dundee United will taken on Hamilton(a) in the 5th round of the Scottish Cup, if they can defeat East Stirling on Sunday afternoon.
Before the match against East Stirling had even kicked-off, Dundee United had the added distraction of knowing that SPL rivals Hamilton were awaiting the team that progressed to the next stage of the competition.
It would be another difficult match for Craig Levein`s team, because Hamilton have been a bit of a bogey side this season, with Dundee United not able to beat their SPL rivals in either of the league meetings between the 2 teams this season.
The Scottish cup draw took place at 2:30pm on Sunday afternoon, not long after Hearts defeated their local rivals Hibernian 2-0 in the 4th round of the cup.
Apart from Dundee United`s potential trip to Hamilton, the draw didn`t throw up many other interesting ties.
Hearts against Falkirk and the possible Caley Thistle vs Kilmarnock tie (provided Killie can defeat their Ayrshire rivals Ayr United) are the only other all-SPL ties.
