The 33-year old has been linked with a move to Dundee United after Hearts sacked him for standing up against controversial chairman Vladimir Romanov.
Celtic, Rangers, Southampton and Derby have all been linked with a move for the former Hearts captain and since cash-strapped Dundee United cant match the wages offered by any of those clubs, its unlikely Elvis will come to Tannadice.
Although, Craig Levein (who was Pressley`s manager for a few years at Hearts) has still talked to the Scottish International about joining Dundee United as a player – but has admitted he has no need of another coach on his backroom staff.
However, Dundee United supporters seem to disagree with Craig Levein and think he should re-consider offering Pressley a roll as a player AND a coach.
Vital Football Poll
In a poll on Vital Football (Dundee United), only 3% of Dundee United supporters wanted Steven Pressley to come to Tannadice as a player, with 40% of those polled saying they`d prefer him to join up as a player-coach.
A further 9% of voters thought Dundee United shouldn`t break the bank to get Pressley, but should only sign him if the club can afford it.
While a staggering 43% of supporters didn’t think making a move for Elvis was a sensible one, since he’s now 33-years old and has proven from this recent incident at Hearts that he’s not worried about shaking things up at the club he’s with.
27% thought Pressley was too old, and 16% must have a lot of confidence in David McCracken, Garry Kenneth, Alan Archibald and Lee Mair, because they thought he wouldn`t add anything to the current Dundee United team.
Finally, a small portion of those who voted weren’t sure either way, infact they didn’t even seem sure who he was, with 5% saying “Who is Steven Pressley?”

Im surprised at the result. I thought that more Dundee United supporters would vote FOR Pressley coming to the club.
