Peter Houston says that he might have to advise sidelined winger Craig Conway to stop taking his frustrations out on the weight machines.

The 25-year-old forward has embarked on a programme of weight training during his enforced absence and his boss has since recognised a big change in his upper-body size.

“Conway has been absolutely beasting it in the gym. He’s just desperate to get back playing again,” Houston told The Press & Journal. “Because he is so frustrated when he is not playing, he just channels all his energy and strength into working ever so hard in the gym.

“I notice a big difference in him already but what you have to watch is that he doesn’t get too muscle-bound and top heavy,” he continued. “He was in great nick at the end of last season but is probably bulked even up more since he has been out.

“I have not had to tell him to scale back yet on the weights side of things but we’ll obviously keep an eye on it. At the moment, I just think he looks powerful and there’s nothing wrong with that for a winger.”
