Over the past few weeks there has been speculation linking Christian Dailly with a move back to Scotland, with both Dundee United & Rangers linked with the Scottish International defender.

Dundee United manager Craig Levein is on-record as saying he wanted to bring some more experienced players to Tannadice, especially defenders who could help stabilise his frail defence.

Christian Dailly was linked with a dramatic return to Dundee United on loan, the club where he made over 140 appearances before leaving to join Derby County in the summer of 1996.

However, 33-year-old Dailly has blasted the rumours, claiming there is absolutely no truth in them, because he is happy to remain with West Ham.

“The rumours about me joining Dundee United was wheeled out again this week and I was linked with Rangers last week, but all I can say is there is no truth is any of it,” said Dailly.
