Scott Severin says his side will need to improve their performance if they are to progress through to the Co-operative Insurance Cup semi-finals.

The Arabs make their second visit to Motherwell in just three days tonight after going down 2-1 at the weekend in a game in which they conceded two own goals, one of which came from the 31-year-old Scottish international.

“We know what to expect now. Motherwell are doing really well and you can see why they’re third,” he told BBC Scotland.

“When it’s two [own goals] that beat you, it’s hard to take, but we’ve just got to get on with it. We’ve been playing well recently so maybe that was the kick up the backside that we needed.

“We have to come back here on Tuesday for the cup game and hopefully we’ll put in a better performance,” continued Severin. “The defeat’s a wee set-back but hopefully we can improve on Tuesday night and get the result.”
