Dundee United goalkeeper Harry Lewis insists his colleagues must be more clinical in both attack and defence.

That follows them dropping a couple of points at bottom-of-the-table Brechin City at the weekend after Scott McDonald’s close-range opener was cancelled out by Sean Crighton early in the second-half.

“We were unlucky but we just didn’t put the ball in the net,” Lewis told the Dundee Courier. “That’s what we are here to do – put the ball in the net at one end and keep it out at the other.

“The finishing wasn’t good enough. I think we can say we weren’t clinical enough in both boxes,” he added. “They had chances to win as did we but we see that more as two points dropped, definitely.”
