Dundee United must improve defensively according to their manager Peter Houston.

The Terrors slumped to another 3-1 defeat against Aberdeen at the weekend and Houston admits there is going to have to be a major attitude change at the back. It was the third successive game in which his side had conceded three times following a 3-1 loss at home to Motherwell and earlier 3-3 draw at Hibernian.

“I felt that the Aberdeen players showed more desire to get their head on the ball,” Houston told BBC Scotland. “If we are going to ship goals from set-plays then we have a major problem.

“There is no doubt that we aren’t defending properly. That is something we will have to and work hard on.”
