Dundee United manager Csaba Laszlo described it as “a game of two different halves” following the 1-1 draw with lowly Brechin City at Glebe Park.

The Tangerines led at the interval courtesy of striker Scott McDonald’s opener, but Sean Crighton headed an early second-half equaliser.

Defender Tam Scobbie was later sent-off for the visitors after receiving a second yellow card in added time.

“It was a game of two different halves,” Laszlo admitted to The Scotsman. “In the first 45 minutes, we were dominant and should have had one or two goals more.

“But after the break it was a different story,” he added. “We have to be honest and say that we could have lost the game.”
