Manager Csaba Laszlo has received a vote of confidence from new Dundee United chairman Mike Martin.

A dismal recent run from the Tangerines now has them seven points short of second place and a full nineteen behind runaway Championship leaders St Mirren.

There have also been a number of shocking performances leaving supporters understandably increasingly angered.

“There are no plans to change the current management structure,” Martin told the Dundee Courier. “We brought Csaba in because we felt a change was needed and we felt that a number of changes were needed.

“So he was presented with basically a challenge largely working with the resources that were already at the club, although we have provided some additional support and brought some new faces to the club.

“It’s a very difficult league and was always going to be a difficult task,” he admitted. “The objective is to get back to the Premiership.”
