Dundee United chairman Stephen Thompson has confirmed he will be sitting with the away supporters for their Scottish Cup semi-final at Rangers.

Thompson has already urged the SFA to reconsider their choice of venue for next month’s tie, although a change of decision still appears highly unlikely.

He told the Dundee Courier: “I will be sitting among our supporters if the match does take place at Ibrox and I would urge as many fans as possible to join me and get behind the team.”

Meanwhile, United have appointed David McGrory to the club board as a non-executive director. McGrory is a lifelong Tangerines fan and partner in the corporate team of leading UK commercial law firm Maclay Murray & Spens LLP.
