Manager Csaba Laszlo won’t be rushing playmaker Scott Fraser back into action.

The Tangerines remain keen to get the 22-year-old performing again after suffering a broken metatarsal in December.

He could be back training within a couple of weeks, but Laszlo remains cautious with the player previously returning too early the last time he suffered the same injury.

“For this reason we must be careful,” he warned the Dundee Evening Telegraph. “We must be sure his foot is OK.

“Every day Scott is here and he wants to play tomorrow. He is a passionate boy and he wants to come back now but we will give him the time he needs to be ready.”

Meanwhile, striker James Keatings has undergone successful surgery to correct a hip problem.

Centre-back William Edjenguele and midfielder Jordie Briels are already in training, while Tam Scobbie is also on the way back as well as fellow defender Paul Quinn.
