Dundee United have to date sold 10,500 tickets for their forthcoming Scottish Cup semi-final at Rangers.

It follows them previously indicating a requirement of up to 20,000 tickets for the Ibrox clash on 12th April.

“We’ll probably have to get back to the SFA in the next couple of days to let them know the numbers,” United director Derek Robertson told BBC Scotland. “I’d urge anyone who has not yet bought their tickets to do so in the next few days.”

Robertson stated it would be the biggest support the club had taken to a semi-final, adding: “We’re very happy with the numbers so far.”

Rangers enjoy home advantage for the tie after Ibrox was chosen to host both semi-finals back in October. Hampden Park is currently being redeveloped for the Commonwealth Games.
