Peter Houston assures his Dundee United side will go on the offensive against Celtic in their Scottish Cup quarter-final at Tannadice.

But the Terrors manager believes his charges must improve on the performance in their latest 3-0 victory against Inverness Caledonian Thistle – a scoreline which by Houston’s own admission rather flattered them.

“We will need to play a lot better than we did against Inverness when Celtic come here on Sunday if we are wanting to knock them out of the cup,” Houston told the Dundee Courier. “Celtic will come out fired up on Sunday and there are no doubts they’ve got a lot of strength in depth.

“We’ll be at it hopefully and we’ll be attacking to try and score goals,” he maintained. “We have scored a lot of goals lately and have been keeping clean sheets. We will need to continue doing that on Sunday.”
