Following their superb fightback against SPL leaders Celtic at the weekend, Dundee United next take their league campaign to Motherwell on Wednesday evening for a game originally postponed due to a power cut early last month.

Skipper Jon Daly and fellow forward Gary Mackay-Steven should both continue after returning against the champions. But French defender Gregory Vignal once again misses out with a hamstring injury.

“It’s always a boost when you’ve come back from behind in any game and get a draw like we did on Sunday,” manager Peter Houston told BBC Scotland. “We felt we were very worthy of it on the day and now it’s just a case of trying to build on it going into the Motherwell game.

“It’s four games now since we lost that terrible game up in Inverness and we’ve been working hard and are reaping our rewards,” he added. “We know to expect nothing other than a very hard game.”

Motherwell should remain unchanged as neither Shaun Hutchinson nor Fraser Kerr are fit to return.
