Dundee United have been handed an attractive looking home tie in the fifth round of the Scottish Cup.

The Tangerines will take on third division leaders Rangers at Tannadice having easily accounted for Stranraer at the weekend.

Fallen giants Rangers themselves comfortably defeated Elgin City 3-0 at Ibrox yesterday afternoon and their fifth round meeting is scheduled over the weekend of 2nd and 3rd February.

Meanwhile, United’s away league visit to Celtic on Wednesday 12th December has been postponed due to their forthcoming Scottish Cup replay at Arbroath.
