Dundee United are closing-in on bringing Australian international Curtis Good back to the club.

The 21-year-old defender made a handful of appearances for the Tangerines during a successful loan spell from Newcastle United last season.

However, Good then sustained an injury which ended his hopes of featuring at the World Cup in Brazil.

But with chairman Stephen Thompson now back from holiday, United were expected to step-up their pursuit of the Melbourne-born defender.

Fellow centre-back Callum Morris and midfield duo Blair Spittal and Charlie Telfer have already arrived at Tannadice since the end of last season.
