Dundee United travel to bottom club St Mirren in the Scottish Championship this evening.

The Tangerines have slipped down to fourth in the table following their 1-0 home defeat to leaders Hibernian and subsequent victories for both Falkirk and Morton.

Defender Lewis Toshney misses out through suspension having been sent-off against Hibs, but would be available for the weekend visit to former club Raith Rovers.

Midfielder Blair Spittal is also currently sidelined due to injury.

“There are 10 games left in the league and we will try and win every one of them,” manager Ray McKinnon told the Dundee Evening Telegraph. “Friday’s result does make things difficult, but if we win on Wednesday at St Mirren it takes the gap to Hibs back to the seven point difference it was before Friday.

“The problem for us is the games are running out, but we just need to try and win as many games as we can and see where we end up.”
