Dundee United’s top-of-the-table clash at St Mirren goes ahead this evening despite the recent heavy snow (kick-off 7.45pm).
The fixture received the all-clear after volunteers began helping clear the playing surface earlier today. There had also been concerns regarding the surrounding areas of the stadium.
The Tangerines currently trail their hosts in the table by a couple of points but also have a single game in hand on them.
“They’re all important games now, especially around this Christmas period,” striker Scott McDonald told the Dundee Evening Telegraph. ‘We’ve got a massive game against St Mirren and we want to make sure we’re in top form.
“If the Queen of the South game had been completed, we were pretty confident we would have won that game and would have been sitting top still,” he added.”We beat Livingston and go into the St Mirren game knowing if we overcome them there`s a possibility of trying to stretch a lead.”
