Dundee United have selection issues ahead of their Sunday lunchtime 12.45pm kick-off with champions Celtic at Tannadice.

Defender Gavin Gunning is still struggling with the shoulder problem that has forced him out of the last couple of games while his replacement Garry Kenneth, midfielder Willo Flood and striker Johnny Russell are also doubts.

“There should be a good crowd which I think our players can benefit from as they have done throughout the season,” manager Peter Houston told BBC Scotland. “If we consolidate fourth it will be a great achievement from the players when you take everything into consideration.

“It’s been the most competitive top six because there’s not much distance between fourth, fifth and sixth so it’s all very exciting,” he added. “We want to go into Europe as high as we can if we get there and a win on Sunday would help our cause.”

Celtic are definitely without sidelined pair Ki Sung-Yueng and James Forrest and were again expected to give some of their fringe players an opportunity after making seven changes for their midweek win over St Johnstone.
