Dundee United pair Keith Watson and Stuart Armstrong have both agreed contract extensions at Tannadice running until May 2015.

Defender Watson has already made 78 appearances with four goals for the club since originally progressing through their youth ranks. He helped them famously win the Scottish Cup in 2010.

Meanwhile, midfielder Armstrong has played 47 times and scored twice following his senior debut as a teenager almost two years ago.

“Both players fully merit these extensions,” manager Peter Houston told United’s official website. “Keith has been part of the first team squad for a few years now and this season has progressed even further.

“Stuart has shown already this season that he can play a large part in our team and make an impact in games,” he added. “He is an exciting player that brings additional pace and skill into our team.”
