Manager Csaba Laszlo was left questioning his own players following another poor result for Dundee United.

The Tangerines’ recent decline continued as they lost out to a solitary goal just before half-time at Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

They remain fourth in the table but it was another of their games in hand going to waste, much to the annoyance of their clearly frustrated supremo.

“You have to question some players because this game tonight gave us a good possibility to move forward in the table,” Laszlo admitted to the Dundee Courier. “Inverness, I don’t think, had a great hope of going into the play-offs but it looked like they wanted to go into the play-offs while we were just happy to play, which is not OK.

“We have tried everything, bringing in fresh players and changing things,” he continued. “We can talk, talk, talk, but you have to bring energy to the game. Nobody gives you gifts in football.”
