Dundee United midfielder Danny Swanson is set for talks with English Championship club Peterborough United.

The 25-year-old is out of contract at Tannadice this summer and appears set to continue his career south of the border.

He managed only sixteen appearances for United last season when being seriously restricted by injuries.

But there is, apparently, also significant interest in acquiring his services from a number of clubs elsewhere – including from higher up the scale.

“My agent has been fixing things up for me and I plan to swing by Peterborough some time this week,” Swanson confirmed to the Daily Record. “A few clubs are interested in me, mostly in the Championship, but there are also a couple in the Premier League.”
