Craig Levein is looking forward to the visit of the Hearts supporters for this afternoons match at Tannadice, but says he will enjoy it even more if they boo him during the 90minutes.
“I had a good relationship with the fans but if they give me a bad reception at the end I’ll be delighted,” said Levein.
“I was at Hearts for 14 years as a player and four as manager which is a hell of a long time. I’ve got strong ties with the club and most weeks I’d want to see them win but this weekend is not one of them.”
“I took on Hearts in friendlies at Cowdenbeath but this will be the first time I’ve faced them in a competitive match.”
A win over the Tynecastle club would secure an impressive 5 home wins on the trot for Dundee United, but Craig Levein has admitted doesn’t pay much attention to statistics.
“The statistics about our home form are irrelevant, how we approach this game is what really matters. Journalists and fans look at stats but they don`t mean anything to me,” he said.
“What matters is that we concentrate on all the little things which allow people to do their jobs properly. If we do that we can walk away at the end of the match possibly having picked up points.”

5inarow should be important to levein because it keeps us winning and we need more points if we are to get into the top half of the table
