Dundee United defender Garry Kenneth believes an early goal will be vital to his side looking to turn around their Europa League tie against Slask Wroclaw.

The Tangerines trail by only a single strike from the first game in Poland and Kenneth thinks an early response would have a dramatic effect for the hosts.

“I still feel that if we score early in the return leg they will crumble!,” Kenneth told the Daily Record. “They looked quite vulnerable up against big Jon Daly at set-pieces over in Poland in the first game.

“I’m not taking anything away from Jon, who is great in the air, but that’s something we will try to exploit against them,” he continued.

“Things are looking good for the team and on top of that I’m feeling good personally. I have had a hamstring injury which has also led to a nerve problem in the back of my knee. But I feel as though I’m just about over it now.”
