Leaders Dundee United attempt to hold onto their lead at the top of the Championship table when visiting Greenock Morton on Saturday afternoon (kick-off 3.00pm).

That follows match-winner Scott Fraser’s vital double securing them an important 2-1 home victory over fellow promotion challengers Dunfermline Athletic last weekend.

However, the visitors are set to be without experienced midfielder Willo Flood until the New Year after dislocating his shoulder during the closing moments of that particular game. Fortunately a subsequent hospital visit and x-ray revealed there was no break.

“We have tough away games coming up against first Morton then Queen of the South so to collect maximum points must be our target,” manager Csaba Laszlo told the Dundee Courier. “It has been a while since we were top having played the same number of games as the teams below us so we have to make the most of that situation.

“Everything is in our own hands now,” he added. “That is not necessarily an easy situation but it is interesting for me because we can now show our true face. You have to believe in yourself.”
