Goalscorer Mark Durnan conceded he got lucky with the late equaliser against Greenock Morton.

Visiting skipper Lee Kilday’s attempted clearance struck the defender and rebounded back into the net from an inswinging 83rd minute corner by Scott Fraser.

Kilday had earlier opened the scoring with a close-range header before the break.

“No, I wouldn’t say it was the best goal of my career,” Durnan reflected to the Dundee Courier. “It was a bit fortunate but they all count.

“To be honest, it just hit me,” he admitted. “I tried to react a wee bit but it came off me and looped into the top corner of the net. I’m delighted to get a goal and it came at a vital time for us because we were trying to push on.”
