With the Saint Mirren match called-off last weekend, Dundee United’s next competitive fixture is a trip to Ibrox on Saturday.

Craig Levein is hopeful that his squad will have recovered from the flu in time for the journey to Glasgow, but is concerned that several of his other 1st team players might come down with the bug throughout the week.

No fewer than 8 of United’s first team came down with the bug at the end of last week, but there remains several important players who have, so far, escaped the flu.

“With no game until Saturday I would hope the players who have already been sick will have recovered by then,” Levein told the Courier.

“The worry now is who else is going to go down with it, but, hopefully, we are over the worst.”
