Dundee United chief Csaba Laszlo has picked out his experienced players for special praise.

The 53-year-old reckons the likes of Tam Scobbie, Scott McDonald and Paul Quinn will be particularly crucial while attempting to secure an end-of-season promotion.

“I was very impressed with the team, how they handled the penalty against Livingston,” Laszlo told the Dundee Evening Telegraph. “I had the feeling when we missed the penalty, we would lose confidence, but especially the players who had experience, Scott McDonald, Tam Scobbie, Paul Quinn, they have handled this situation well.

“From these guys after the penalty, I hear them shouting ‘come on guys we just stay, do what we are doing’ and this is important when you have young players.”
