Dundee United are on the road again this weekend with a visit to Dunfermline Athletic.

The Tangerines will be missing defender Lewis Toshney, who suffered ankle ligament damage during their 2-1 victory against Greenock Morton.

Meanwhile, centre-back Paul Quinn is still waiting on heart scans following an infected tooth, and Tam Scobbie has received another injury setback and is still a couple of weeks away.

Additionally, Paul McMullan, Patrick N’Koyi and William Edjenguele also missed training at the beginning of the week.

“There’s quite a few of them carrying knocks and haven’t trained yet this week but we’re hoping the majority of them carrying knocks will be fine for Saturday,” manager Ray McKinnon told the Dundee Evening Telegraph. “We’ve had four or five not training at the start of the week.

“Tam Scobbie has had a setback in his calf. He’s probably been trying to do too much,” he added. “Quinn is still away from the club, he’s waiting on heart scans and is seeing a cardiologist this week. We’d like him back playing here and fit but if he’s got a problem then we need to address it and ensure his health comes first.”
