Rivals Dundee and Dundee United clash again this evening in a League Cup second round tie at Dens Park (kick-off 7.45pm).

The Tangerines already defeated their next opponents in a penalty shoot-out to actually top their particular qualifying group of the competition following a 1-1 draw at the same venue only last month.

The visitors have new striker Scott McDonald and defender Mark Durnan available from suspension, while latest signing Fraser Fyvie could earn a debut having arrived from Hibernian.

Meanwhile, James Keatings, Stewart Murdoch and Willo Flood are similarly pressing for inclusion after being amongst their substitutes at the weekend.

Dundee skipper Darren O’Dea is suspended, although striker Sofien Moussa and centre-back Kerr Waddell may recover from knocks received against Ross County.

Otherwise, defensive trio Kostadin Gadzhalov, James McPake and Julen Etxabeguren, plus striker Craig Wighton, are each sidelined.
