Dundee United are hosting Livingston at Tannadice this weekend (kick-off 3.00pm).

The Tangerines slipped off the top of the table after their latest game at Queen of the South was abandoned at half-time due to a frozen pitch – with the scoreline still blank.

Experienced midfielder Willo Flood returns to the squad having spent three weeks on the sidelines with a dislocated shoulder.

He was expected to be on the bench due to the continuing good form of Sam Stanton and Fraser Fyvie following the former switching into the middle

Otherwise, Lewis Toshney and Jordie Briels remain longer-term casualties.

“Sam and Fraser in the middle have covered everything very well,” boss Csaba Laszlo told the Dundee Evening Telegraph. “Flood is a very important player for us and, if he is fit, I will find for him a place where he can play.

“Sam and Fraser will be on the pitch as well when Willo comes back and, if this a problem for me, it is a good problem to have,” he added. “I would like to have 10 national team players if I could, all fighting to show me who is the best!”

Livingston are currently fourth in the table but would fall ten points behind their latest opponents should they lose, although with still a single game in hand.
