Championship leaders Dundee United face Brechin City at Tannadice this weekend.

The Tangerines have opened their campaign with successive victories against Inverness CT and Queen of the South to claim the only remaining 100% record after the first couple of games.

However, there are doubts over defender William Edjenguele and striker Scott McDonald, while Paul McMullan remains suspended following his recent sending-off.

“William has a niggle in his groin,” manager Ray McKinnon told the Dundee Courier. “Scott McDonald had a dead leg and has not trained this week so he is also 50/50 for the weekend.

“Paul is suspended but we have someone like Scotty (Fraser) to come straight in,” he added. “Quinny (Paul Quinn) came in against Cowdenbeath on Tuesday night and I thought he cruised it. He hasn’t played any football for nearly three months but he will be a good addition for us.”

The visitors are without centre-back Ryan McGeever (fractured hand) and the experienced Gary Fusco (back), although midfielder Liam Watt has returned to action.

Former United defender Euan Spark is similarly available along with Sean Crighton after recovering from knocks.
